Christmas Eve Service

2015-12-11 Christmas Eve Service
We’re less than two weeks away from Christmas Eve: a wonderful opportunity to sign carols, drink hot chocolate and thank God for the gift of Jesus.

All welcome, December 24th at 6:30pm for a time together. Whether you’ve been attending our church for a long time, if you’ve lived in Kingston for a short time, if you happen upon us for the first time, the invitation is for everybody, everywhere.

But Christmas Eve is only a part of our Advent celebration and our Advent awaiting. Read more about how you can participate in this season, the tale of two comings, by clicking here.

Advent 2015

Slide1Calendars? Chocolates? Count downs? What do you associate with Advent?

At Next we think of Jesus. We celebrate His first coming and await His second. This tale of two comings is our future hope. It promises a world of peace, joy and kindness, goodness and gentleness. A time when God’s big, wide, high, long and ever-encompassing love will bring together Heaven and Earth and make all things new.

That’s why we gather on Sunday mornings and it’s why we are excited about the many events this season! And you’re invited to them all!

Click here to read the Advent 2015 page for more information.

Hope to see you soon!

Next Kids Leaders’ Session

Slide1

Calling all Next Kids leaders and would be leaders. If you’re interested in or are already helping raise our kids to love God on Sunday mornings, please join us at the church Tuesday evening (November 24) at 8pm to review policy, curriculum, planning and more. Snacks will be served.

Remembrance Day

On November 11, let’s not “take up our quarrel with the foe.” Instead, let’s pray for peace – peace for our city, our nation and all.

As the Psalmist suggests in these verses of Psalm 122 there is a connection between our well being and the well being of the places we live. This message is echoed in Jeremiah 29 verse 7.

May Kingston and Kingstonians, Canada and Canadians, and all the world know the shalom of God and Jesus the Prince of Peace.

Unlocking the Bible

Take 6

What do the Scriptures really say? Weren’t they put together by a bunch of political elites thousands of years ago? Is the Bible relevant for society or is it relative to the whims of the one reading it?

These are some of the questions we hope to unpack as we learn to unlock the Bible together on Sunday mornings. Join us! 10:10am – 89 Colborne St.
