For the last 6 Sundays our Spring Sermon Series has asked us to celebrate and grow in our ability to recognize God’s Kingdom. We have heard about many different parables (squirrely as they are) and from many different people (about what God’s doing in their lives).
This week join us for the penultimate – which means second from the last – sermon and interview. Josh is scheduled to talk about Getting Active in God’s Kingdom by His Spirit and Maria is to share about what God’s up to in her life, including her participation in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
10:10am, Sunday, May 24th – 89 Colborne St – We hope to see you there!
The 2015 Next Church Retreat will be postponed until further notice.
Unfortunately, retreat our venue double booked – for May 29 to 31 – and we were bumped and have been unable to find a suitable alternative site.
But don’t worry! We will continue to explore the Gospel and we will plan for time together on another weekend (and if you’ve already paid we can hold on to your money until the next retreat or we can reimburse you).
In fact, we wonder how many of you would like to camp at Foley Mountain next Friday (29) or Saturday (30)? If you’re interested in this please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for understanding. There will be an announcement recapping the situation on Sunday. We look forward to what God has in store for our community.

We’re having quite a curious topic this Sunday! David Lyon will speak on Matthew 2:1-12 where “The Professors Meet Jesus”. Might be a great time for Profs and students alike to convene in this setting…. so spread the word.
Who were the Magi?
Why did they come to Bethlehem?
What can we learn from them?
